Learning History is Fun

Whether or not you believe that life exist on other planets does not really matter, but what does matter is the amount of history that we have. If you believe that a UFO landed in Roswell in the 1960's that is ok, conversely it is ok if you do not believe in that sort of thing.

One day our society will look back at all of the history that we have accumulated on our time on earth and realise that we wasted a lot of time. Instead of counting how many insects there are in a city, those resources could have been used to improve water supply.

Here in today's society we view history as a normal thing when in the past it was simply there to record dates and times. Our ancestors had no conception of hours and years, they lived in cycles and wrote on rocks.

The truth is that history is merely an interpretation of someone's beliefs. In cases where there is no hard evidence, such as the bible, people are left to believe what they want to believe. This is why there are so many different interpretations of the bible.

The best thing about history is that you can make of it what you want. Nobody says you have to believe something if you do not want to.
