There are events that happen in our world which we will never forget. One recent event that had global ramifications was the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City. That may have been on the other side of the world for some people but the after affects have been felt by everyone in terms of the war on terror. The United States declaration of war on Afghanistan and Iraq has led many different countries to war.

This shows how one single act of history, in this case a terrorist attack, can lead to a global war. Future civilizations will look at what we are doing now and either learn from it or exploit it. It is very important to record what happens or else we will never learn from anything.
